According to the annual survey of Economist Intelligence Unit, a sister company to Economist journal, Helsinki is still the ninth in the ranking of most comfortable cities in the world. The survey was comparing 140 cities on five different spheres: stability, public health, culture sector, as well as environment, education and infrastructure.
Also this year Australia was on the top, the winner was Melbourne, Australia together with Canada command the top ten list.
Vienna in Austria was second. Vancouver in Canada was third, Toronto fourth and Calgary fifth. Adelaide in Australia was sixth and Perth seventh. Auckland in New-Zealand was eight and Hamburg in Germany tenth.
There were only three cities from Europe on top ten list. Helsinki was ninth, the only Nordic city on the list. Helsinki got full marks in stability and health care.
